Based out of Charleston, South Carolina, Holy City started ministry in December of 2001 as a Male Trio consisting of Mike Bolen (lead/owner), Gene Haselden (baritone), and Karl Rice (tenor). In November of 2004 the group made the change to a quartet. They have been in ministry as Holy City for over 10 years now and Holy City will continue to tour the southeast singing the traditional southern gospel music they so love. Today the group consist of Mike Bolen (Lead), Tim McClain (Baritone), Chris Gibson (Tenor). Grandmom, Granddad, and Jake Bolen have their important duties they do and Tara Gibson runs the office. We look forward to seeing and meeting you at a concert soon. Chris Gibson Tenor

Originally from West Virginia, Chris grew up surrounded by Southern Gospel music and has always had a strong calling to a ministry in music.  He has sung with various groups over the last twenty years including the Melodyaires and was a founding member of One Eighty. Chris now lives in Greenville, SC with his wife Tara, daughter Kierston and two dogs. Chris joined Holy City in July of 2013.

Mike Bolen Lead
Mike has owned and sang lead for Holy City since he started it in December of 2001. Growing up listening to the Cathedrals and local quartet’s like The Oakland Quartet, it was a dream to sing gospel music one day. He loved the Quartets but kept his singing to the confines of the car and the shower until he was in his thirties. In 2000 Mike joined the Crystal River Quartet from Fayetteville, NC and began travelling regionally for the first time in his ministry. When CRQ folded in September of 2001 Mike knew it was time to start his own group and continue travelling and singing the music he loves. Mike loves his family and he and his wife Lisa have twin girls, Leigh and Lauren, and their son Jake runs sound for Holy City.

Tim McClain Baritone
Tim has been singing southern gospel music for the past 35 years.  He has sang with various groups such as Pathway, Canaan's Road and Brothers IV. He felt the calling on his life to sing at a very young age.  Tim also is an accomplished song writer and has had many songs recorded by various southern gospel artist.  He married his beautiful wife Angie in 1981 and has 2 children, Meka and Steele, a son-n-law, Eric and 1 grandson, Guy.  He lives in Donalds, SC and joined Holy City in October 2011.

Hunter Segers Bass
  Hunter and his wife Keziah live in Greenville, SC with their dog Asher. Over the last 6 years he has sung with The Melodyaires Quartet, Kingsway, and Embrace Singers. Hunter started singing with his family as a child and grew to love quartet music because of The Cathedrals Quartet and The Carolina Boys Quartet (Previously known as Total Praise Quartet). Hunter had his first official date with Holy City February 28, 2014 on his 23rd birthday.
